BLOG: Dear Santa

Kirsten Hawke

You’re never too old to write to the dude in the big red suit and the BUSINESS buddies have scribed their wish list for something special they would like to find under the tree.

Of course, they are trying very hard to be good right up until Christmas Eve, which is more of a challenge for some buddies than others.

BLOG: Dear Santa

Dear Santa,
This year I have tried very hard to keep the books clean and to think of others.  I was so good, I organised that really cool business advisory seminar with the legendary Paul Dunn and we helped raise money for B1G1. Do you remember that Santa?

You know how much I love to travel and I was very fortunate to visit Japan, which was even better because I shared the experience with my children. It’s good to share right?
Please could I have the tools to transform our clients into entrepreneurial super heroes and if you have room in the Santa sack, a bottle of bubbly would be nice, too.
Love and hugs,
Kirsten

Hi there Santa,
I know you’ve been watching me through your magic snow globe, so I studied very hard to get my Xero Payroll Certification and Xero Re-certification.
Always thinking of others, I used the new skills to help my fellow BUSINESS buddies and our clients. The boss is pleased with me too because I have been out and about finding new friends for our BUSINESS buddy services.
And, I have tried very hard to keep the new home I have bought with my fiancé spick and span, so you shouldn’t have any trouble finding our Christmas tree.
It would be totally amazing if you could bring me a wedding and honeymoon – pretty please.
And, If the elves at the North Pole could whip up some more conferences so I can keep supporting my BUSINESS buddies, that would be fab.
Merry Christmas,
Deidre

What’s up Santa,
I’m sure you have me on the nice list because this year I have done my best to spend less time on tax compliance stuff and more time on business advisory work. My clients will tell you how good I’ve been.
And, I completed the biggest task of any parent’s life – seeing my youngest child graduate, celebrate her 21st birthday and leap into adulthood.
Raising children is lot of work and I wonder if you can see my angel wings are a little droopy?
So, if you can manage it, I’d love you to wrap up some me time and carefully place it under the tree with a big label that says Karen
I promise I’ll be careful with it, look after it and use it to be even better next year.
See you soon,
Karen

Dear Father Christmas,
You will not believe how amazing I have been this year. I’ve done all my homework on time and passed my Xero Advisor and Xero Payroll Certifications.  Can you see my halo glowing?
My boss wears sunglasses because I shine so brightly, and she is super-pleased I have worked for BUSINESS buddy for more than a year, now.
It would be fab if you could bring me a bag full of knowledge, so I can help our clients make their businesses shine brightly.
I’m not sure if it’s possible, but I would also like a stick for poking myself into action to do some cool experiences on my to-do list.
Remember Father Christmas, all work and no play makes Amy a dull girl.
Yours sincerely,
Amy

Hey Santa,
Last year, I think you missed me when you delivered good stuff at Christmas time.
I’m always good and this year, I managed to get loads of people to get their accounts work into the office on time.
And, I’ve become a stronger person when things have looked more challenging than sledding down a sand dune at 90 Mile Beach. (We don’t have snow here at Christmas time.)
If you could ask the elves to make a special wand that will have all our clients’ accounts and paperwork in our digital system by the end of 2018 – I would love that for Christmas.
Can you put a hug in a parcel, because I’d quite like one of those, too?
Stay safe on your sleigh,
Dee
